Keywords:
Social Security for attorneys, Retirement benefit, RETA, Mutuality of AdvocacyAbstract
Social Security of registered professionals, such as attorneys, has evolved from a system of private social security (Mutuality) to have a dual system of social security, the attorney decides by the public system (RETA) and/or private system (Mutualities). Thus, the practicing lawyer can choose to join and register in the RETA and/or the Mutuality of Advocacy (therefore in one, another, or both). This causes the Mutuality of Advocacy plays like alternative system (only Mutualities) or complementary system to the RETA (as well as framed in the RETA is affiliated to the Mutual Society). In any case, despite this duality of systems, the decline in the RETA and recognition of the corresponding retirement benefit requires the cessation of the activity that has resulted in its framework, not possible to recognize the retirement benefit in the RETA if kept in the exercise of his activity as an attorney.Downloads
