Some diseases are the reason to exclude some professions from selection processes, or impede their undertaking, if manifested after being employed. The basis of these prohibitions seems to lie in a presumed psychophysical disability to exercise these professions given the possible danger for employees or third parties but, strictly speaking, they establish presumed iuris et de iure disability. The present work presents today's legal system for prohibitions related with a neurological disease of high incidence in Spain, epilepsy, and its possible consideration as a determining cause of permanent disability for one's habitual profession.Downloads
