Abstract

On 12th March this year the fourth coalition contract was signed in Germany, which is the third between the German right (CDU and CSU) and the left (SPD), which affects all branches of the federal public administration, including Social Security Law. In this particular branch, the most important innovation in terms of pensions is the creation of a basic pension to fight against the poverty of the elderly, aimed at protecting the impoverished elderly who own their own homes (consequently, a typical measure of protection of the middle class). In terms of dependency, the emphasis is placed on improving and expanding the figure of the professional caregiver of dependents.
