Abstract

This essay critically analyses the Social Security system that in the last decade has involved the reforms of public work in Italy. The objective here is to highlight the criticalities that can especially be found in the appeal for coerced early retirement "points which have been discussed again in the public administration, with the aim of favouring the reduction of spending for public employment and the generational change of personnel employed there" who may be vulnerable to problems of compatibility with the prohibition of discrimination based on age, sanctioned by Directive 2000/78/EC.
