Abstract

The sharing economy, or more precisely the platform economy, as a commercial activity developed through the use of new technologies, is facing the problem of an absence of specific regulations, which are needed to act as a protection framework for everyone providing services in this field. This article considers the main regulatory or institutional references, underlining the importance and the weight of soft law against hard law in this matter.
