Historically, the relationship between the Labour Inspection and Social Security has been problematic, with repeated attempts to create separate inspection services for social security matters, which have always led to a reunification that has brought the modelforward. As a result of this dialectical evolution, we now have an holistic inspection system, a paradigm of those of its kind, with enforcement competences in all social matters. A model that has proved effective in the face of the new challenges of globalisation and the digital revolution, but that can and should be improved in certain aspects: access to Social Security data by the Labour Inspection, better coordination in the field of the fight against fraud and the development of automated actions to combat certain infringements are some of the challenges.Downloads
