Abstract

In this paper some of the most significant legal orders are analyzed from a comparatist point of view, regarding the subject matter of the legislation about unemployment protection. On the basis of the differentiation between codified and non codified social security legislation, it deals with the legal orders of France, Germany, Portugal, Italy, and Great Britain, from the substantive and procedure points of view. It also compares, always relating to unemployment protection legislation, the legal orders of the United States and of the European Union.
