Abstract

A heart attack is, generally, a controversial event to qualify as a work accident and despite numerous court rulings, has been outdated due to the new social situation that affects the habits of workers as well as new forms of business organisation. In this study we will analyse why a recent court ruling accepted that the symptoms prior to a heart attack during the working day and that the heart attack itself, once the day is over if experienced while playing sports, should be considered an accident at work.
