Abstract

In this paper on the funding and sustainability of the Spanish Social Security system, we set out to open the debate and foster dialogue with a series of proposals based on social responsibility, with a view to reflecting on the future within this new socioeconomic context. It is important to note that this is not a series of incompatible proposals, as to solve this problem it is necessary to implement a set of measures to ensure success. As legal principles say, with much discretion, it is not a question of seeking out the definitive solution, but over time we must adapt the system to reality, insisting on maintaining and respecting the essence and the bases that have ensured the durability of our very good public social security system.
