Special Agrarian System: a perspective from the ITSS

Authors

Abstract

Compliance with the rules in the Social Order in Spain is entrusted to the Labour and Social Security Inspectorate, which is general in nature, with powers in all sectors of activity and in all matters. In the field of Agriculture, the Social Security protection of employed workers has been part of the Special Agrarian System since its integration in 2012 into the General Social Security Scheme. It maintains its own specificities in terms of field of application, setting, listing and protective action. In this chronicle, we will review the most frequent breaches of the Special Agrarian System, and the fight against it by the Labour and Social Security Inspectorate.
