Again, the debate on the contingency of temporary incapacity

Abstract

The contingency temporary incapacity of the most important social protection systems, with many implications for social security, business, levels of absenteeism and productivity, also for workers. It is an institution confluence labor standards, social security and occupational risk prevention, with a significant presence in collective agreements; and in which a multiplicity of entities, Public Health Service involved; Social Security; company; Mutual of Accidents and where appropriate, Public Service of Employment. In Spain we lack a complete and comprehensive treatment of the institute, despite its importance.

The engine of all reforms produced in the last twenty years is in the mechanisms of management and control, sometimes motivated by the volume of spending and other strict criteria for competition. In this area is located the new RD 625/2014 of 18 July, which aims to modernize the management with use of electronic elements, linking processes disabling protocols and orders of administrative procedures.
