Abstract

The requirement to be current in the payment of dues as a condition of receiving cash benefits makes sense when the condition of obligor and responsible contribution match. Legal constraint imposed on the delinquent worker to become current in the payment of their debts is. The employee receives a clear message "if you want to receive the benefit, catch up, because while you do not, there will be no benefit." On the other hand, the invitation to pay also alleviates the strictness of the rule, as it will enable after the triggering event is required to fulfill the requirements of access to protection. The STS of 18 February 2014 is a variation of a theme already used by the judicial doctrine, concerning the possibility of recognition of a pension to a worker who maintains the Social Security debits when the event occurs before deceased, uninvited, payable from them, charging fees to your payment due to RETA, but leaves other outstanding older due to another social security scheme.
