The main function of social security institutions is to meet their objectives, and the use of Artificial Intelligence has recently become particularly important for this purpose. Its application ultimately depends on many factors, but there are some indicators that can serve as a guideline. The analysis of these indicators is therefore relevant for the implementation of e-services, which is nowadays a crucial activity for social security institutions. This requires the adoption of common processes, promoting a framework for the standardisation of management processes. In particular, the management of master data can be considered among the most important resources for the good performance of Social Security institutions. The different Social Security Administrations can request the collaboration of other Administrations, with the capacity to provide valuable complementary information, thus enabling an exhaustive and systematic exploitation of the big data resulting from all the information sources pooled. Furthermore, a specific regulatory regulation of big data systems is required from the perspective of guaranteeing the rights and freedoms of the persons concerned, otherwise undesired consequences may arise that hinder their adoption.
