A risk for the health of the workers: electromagnetic fields, electrosensitivity

Abstract

The RD 299/2016, of July 22, on the protection of the health and the safety of the workers against the risks related to the exhibition to electromagnetic fields has supposed an important advance in the protection of the workers brings over of this risk that is any important point and which consequences continue being evaluated by the scientists and whose results, though still contradictory, they are advancing towards a clear relation between the existence of certain rare cancers of brain and of heart that have related to the exhibition to the wireless networks wifi, besides other effects like the direct ones, the indirect ones, the currents in the extremities and the warming of the fabrics that are described in this regulation.

The RD 299/2016 appears as adjustment to the Board 2013/35/UE, of the European Parliament and of the Advice of June 26, 2013 that it comes to repeal to the Board 2004/40/CE and to fix the minimal dispositions of protection of the workers against the risks for the health and his safety derived from the exhibition of the workers to the electromagnetic fields.
