Abstract

The special rigor with which the Spanish legislator has dealt with the lack of communication between the beneficiary and the State Public Employment Service (SPEE) regarding the carrying out of activities incompatible with unemployment benefits, has found a useful avenue through the court with the "principle of insignificance", designed to avoid the clear disproportion of sanctions in cases in which the income obtained is of very little relevance - result of an absolutely marginal economic initiative.
