Abstract

The social security benefit for standstill of self-employed persons is one of the most controversial economic benefits managed by Mutual Collaborators with Social Security.

This evaluation carries the receipt of unemployment aid for every self-employed worker who meets a series of criteria that could be easily demonstrated a priori, such as having contributed for professional contingencies and evince a certain level of economic losses. The Laws 32/2010 of August 5, and later, established a specific system of aid with a series of expectations that have now been defrauded, as a growing number of workers have stopped requesting this benefit due to a small amount and a growing distrust for an increasingly difficult access owing to some requirements that determine the access to the corresponding benefits.

The causes of this phenomenon are not just related to the degree of efficiency in the participation of Mutual Collaborators in the management of benefits, but also to numerous political-legislative, and social difficulties. If there is no solution to this problem, this evaluation will lack of meaning and practicality.
