Compatibility Between Unemployment Protection and Agricultural Self-employment for Household Consumption

Abstract

Spanish law provides that unemployment benefit and self-employment are absolutely incompatible with each other, even when it is not determinative of framing in social security. It has been held that the incompatibility acts independently of the volume of revenues that the self-employment produces. Recently, however, the Supreme Court has admitted that may be simultaneous unemployment benefits and obtaining income from a family culture of little value, entirely intended for family consumption.
