The transposition into Spanish law of Article 1 of Directive 2020/1057 (lex specialis) on travel in the international road transport sector

Abstract

This article summarises and comments on the content of the transposition of Article 1 of Directive 2020/1057 on journeys in the road transport sector (lex specialis) in the new Chapter V of Law 45/1999 by Royal Decree Law 3/2022. A description is given of the international road transport operations that are considered to be the posting of workers and those that are excluded from this consideration. The new reporting obligations for these postings, and the parties responsible for them are indicated, as well as other contents of the regulation that are specifically applicable to this sector.
