Unemployment and Covid-19. Similarities and divergences in the Moroccan and Spanish legal systems

In this paper we will address a comparative examination of the legal configuration of contributory unemployment in two distinct legal systems "Spain and Morocco" whose organisation, nature, subjective scope, content, reach, temporality, procedural aspects, effectiveness relative to their use and protection are different but not divergent. The Covid-19 pandemic has had far-reaching consequences in social-labour terms, and these consequences have made it clear that, alongside the formal labour market, there is a significant segment of the population which is both low-income and in a precarious situation. The situation of this demographic has been mitigated with a whole list of social-economic measures, the implementation and effects of which it is still too early to assess.Downloads
