The blood donation permit in Spain. A proactive study and comparison with Polish law

Spain being a supportive and altruistic country in terms of organ donation is a well-known and proven fact, a characteristic that fortunately also applies to blood donation. However, it has been accepted that there is a work permit for blood donation through an indirect formula that arises as a result of article 37.3. d) of the ET and 4.2 of Royal Decree 1088/2005. In this study, we analyse such permit, the controversy as it is considered an "inexcusable duty" and how it can lay the foundation for future permits that help save lives. At the same time, we will look at how Polish law provides for work permits for blood donation.
