Family Benefits

Abstract

This research analyses the family benefits in the Spanish Social Security System, in one hand, these benefits regulated by the Chapter IX, Title II Social Security Law, in the other hand, those benefits which are dispersed in the Spanish legal system; in addition, first, the demographic changes that have happened in recent decades, accompanied by a significant decrease in birth rates and the ageing of the population, and, secondly, the deep change emerged in the forms of family life, able to show new demands not always well satisfied.
